Smart Shower is an intelligent household system that transforms the way users interact with water consumption and personal hygiene. Paired with a mobile app, it allows users to control water temperature, track usage statistics, and receive firmware updates. A web dashboard provides additional insights, making the system ideal for both convenience and sustainability.

CHALLENGES

• Enabling real-time, stable data synchronization between the shower device and mobile application

• Dividing water usage into distinct user sessions while maintaining measurement accuracy

• Displaying detailed session data on a web dashboard for ongoing user review

• Ensuring Bluetooth-based mobile control of shower settings without connectivity lags or power drain
   

APPROACH

With a tight delivery timeline, we selected Flutter to develop a cross-platform mobile app efficiently. Communication between the app and shower head was enabled via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to preserve battery life.
To minimize cloud data usage, synchronization is limited to specific Wi-Fi connections and time intervals. We implemented OTA DFU (Over-the-Air Firmware Updates) to ensure devices stay current without manual servicing. A custom energy-saving logic was embedded to allow self-charging via water flow.

APPROACH

We used Three.js for rendering realistic 3D environments directly in the browser. A lightweight backend with PHP handled CRUD operations and composition data generation.
To ensure visual accuracy, we implemented a material and lighting engine that allows users to preview textures and surfaces in real conditions.
A separate backend module was developed for easy integration with the client's existing website. UX was a top priority, with simplified controls and fast learning curve tailored for creative professionals.

The Scanning Suitcase is a portable device developed for use in agricultural fields during harvesting. It automatically identifies pickers, logs harvest and packing times, and transmits this data to the cloud. Designed for rugged field conditions, the device enables real-time workforce tracking, helping farms improve productivity and streamline reporting.

APPROACH

We used a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B and Arducam Multi-Camera Adapter to connect multiple cameras. A custom QR decoder was developed to handle fast, parallel scanning without OpenCV. LED backlighting was controlled by a transistor switch for power efficiency.
The device communicates with a mobile app over BLE. Collected data is synced to the cloud, ensuring centralized access and storage. OTA firmware updates are delivered through the app for easy maintenance.

App for Infection Prevention is a mobile platform designed to reduce the spread of COVID-19 by anonymously tracking user location data and identifying contact with infected individuals. Developed for a German non-profit, the app focuses on privacy, real-time risk assessment, and public health awareness. 

CHALLENGES

• Fixing critical bugs and rearchitecting the codebase inherited from a previous team

• Ensuring top-level data security and full user anonymity in compliance with EU privacy laws

APPROACH

The app was built with React Native for cross-platform support, and the backend was refactored for stability and performance using Node.js and MongoDB.
To enhance privacy, we eliminated login, ensured all tracking was anonymous, and implemented automatic data deletion after 14 days.
Geohash technology was used to efficiently match proximity data. The system is hosted on AWS and can handle hundreds of thousands of concurrent users. An interactive map highlights high-risk zones, while a built-in symptom checker creates a personal infection risk profile.
